Working first as a Registered Nurse, Dr Melanie
Whittaker has developed her health care philosophy by teaching health
and wellness to patients for nearly 30 years. In 1992, she received a
Doctorate Degree in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University, in
Kenmore, Washington.
A member of the American Association of Naturopathic
Physicians, Dr. Whittaker is also a past President of the Washington
Association of Naturopathic Physicians. She is active in efforts to
expand the availability of alternative health care and has frequently
lobbied our state legislators in Olympia.
As Director of the Alternative Medicine Clinics in
Everett and Stanwood, WA, Dr. Whittaker finds a challenging career as
both physician and administrator. Former radio host of Healthy Alternatives with Dr. Melanie Whittaker on KGNW in Seattle, she is a frequent speaker on health care topics.
A Pacific Northwest native, Melanie welcomes the
opportunity to serve her community as a physician. Dr. Whittaker lives
in the Stanwood area with her husband, John; her mother, Gwynne; two
cats; and an assortment of flowers, birds, bees and trees.
